World AIDS Day Commemoration Ceremony was held 9:00 am today at Myanmar Red Cross Society, 42 Strand Road. U Kyi, Honorary Treasurer,MRCS and U Khin Maung Hla, Executive Director, MRCS, Mr Bernd Schell, Head of Delegation, IFRC, representatives from IFRC and ICRC, Heads of Division and staff from MRCS, Red Cross Brigade members and other distinguished guests attended the Ceremony.

(64th) Central Council Meeting Held at Nay Pyi Taw
Nay Pyi Taw, 23 Sept 2009.
Myanmar Red Cross  Society held its 64th Central Council Meeting at the Ministry of Health,here this morning. Minister of Health Dr Kyaw Myint delivered an address.
President of MRCS made a speech and Secretary Dr Hla Pe reported on accomplishment on the minutes of the previous meeting. Executive Director U Khin Maung Hla submitted the report to the council meeting, and Treasurer U Kyi,the financial report.

World Red Cross Day ceremony was held at the YCDC Training Hall, Insein Township this evening. Chairman of Yangon Division Peace and Development Council Commander of Yangon Command Brig-Gen Win Myint, Chairman of Yangon City Development Committee Mayor Brig-Gen Aung Thein Lin, Myanmar Red Cross Society's Executive Committee members, Yangon Divisional Red Cross Supervisory Committee members, officials, Red Cross volunteers and invited guests attended the ceremony.
